Mirka Polarstar SR is a groundbreaking film abrasive, representing the first in a series of advanced micro products from Mirka. This innovative product utilises energy-saving curing technology, contributing to a lower carbon footprint. It is primarily developed for precision spot repair applications, specifically for use in the finessing and hospital areas of car plant paint shops.

The Polarstar SR products are also extensively used in automotive refinishing processes. This abrasive is expertly designed for wet sanding, making it highly effective for correcting minor painting defects and efficiently removing dust particles from topcoats and clear coats. Its versatility allows for both machine and hand sanding, providing flexibility for various repair scenarios.

Key technical specifications include an Aluminium Oxide grain (SR3, SR5, SR7) and a polyester film backing. It features a resin over resin bonding and is available in grit ranges equivalent to P5000 (3 micron), P3000 (5 micron), and P2500 (7 micron).
